Ramadan Recipe – Hummus!
Hummus/Humas is a very popular Middle Eastern dipping sauce. Very yummy and healthy. Served with a variety of Naan bread and kebabs and salad, can be kept with Naan as the main dish for Iftaar! ✨
Ingredients
Kabli chickpeas / chatpati Lentils – 1 cup
Tahini Sauce – 3/4 Tablespoon
Lemon Juice – 3 Tablespoons
Salt – a little bit
Garlic – 2/3 Slices
Olive Oil – 2 Tablespoons
Ice Cold Water – 2/3 Tablespoons
Fried cumin powder – 1 teaspoon
Recipe
Firstly, wash the chickpeas well and soak them in water for about 6/8 hours.
After that, boil the chickpeas very well with fresh water so that they do not have any impurities. This time soak the boiled chickpeas in cold water and loosen the pellets with your hands.
Now take the chickpeas in the jar of the blender or in the food processor. Will blend a little with all the ingredients except ice-cold water.
Now blend with ice-cold water little by little until the paste becomes completely creamy. The water must be blended slowly. Otherwise, the taste will be very bad if the water is too much.
Once blended, will have to check the taste to know if everything is okay with the quantity.
Now take the hummus sauce on a plate and make some space with the spoon and pour olive oil into it.
Gonna garnish it with some fully boiled chickpea + red chili powder + chopped coriander leaves on it.
That’s it! The hummus is ready! It can be served with salad/kebab or any type of bread.
The holy month of Ramadan is not the month of eating yummy food! This must always be remembered.
Let the change come by me ✨🌷
